No shows or cancellations within 24 hours will be responsible for the full cost of the scheduled services. We understand things come up, but out of respect for my business and wait listed clients, I honor a firm 24 hour policy.
Some appointment types may require a deposit which is non-refundable and will be applied to your service total. The cancellation cost, less any deposits you've made, will be charged at the end of the business day on the day of your missed appointment. If the card on file cannot be charged, you will be responsible for paying the fee before you are able to book again.
1st No show/Late cancel: Non refundable deposit of 50% of scheduled service total will be required for all appointments.
2nd No show/Late cancel: Non refundable deposit of 100% of scheduled service total will be required for all appointments.
3rd No show/Late cancel: Must email for appointment request, subject to stylist availability, 100% deposit required.
Salon Policies: Outside food and beverage are allowed, and encouraged for longer appointments. The salon has Wifi which you are free to use during your appointment, but please bring ear phones for private listening if you would like to talk on the phone or watch a movie. I advise you to avoid bringing little ones with you to your appointments (other than for a consultation)—space is limited and the salon is not a child safe environment. It's also not advised to bring guests with you for long appointments, as there is no additional seating near my station.
Liability: J. Tailor Salon and any of it's staff do not assume any liability. Please be aware of your surroundings; we are working with chemicals and sharp objects. It is important to listen to your stylist and be honest about your hair history. Hair can be unpredictable. Your stylist will help you understand reasonable expectations. Please note that some transformations take several visits. The longevity of your style or color is dependent on after care. Please consider following your stylists recommendations for regimen and products.
Risks: Hair integrity is of utmost importance. Your stylist will present options that reduce stress on the hair.
There are risks and negative outcomes to consider. The use of color, lightener, smoothing lotion, and other chemicals may be necessary to provide your service. These products may cause allergic reactions, burns, hair damage, rashes, discomfort, and other adverse reactions. All guidelines are followed when using these products, but hair composition, hormones, medications, homestead water quality and products used at home all can play a role in adverse effects. Please disclose any concerns you may have that might affect your outcome.
Refunds: There will be NO refunds for services rendered. You are agreeing to this policy so any credit card disputes will be appealed and you will be responsible for the expense of filing such appeals. If for any reason you are unsatisfied, please tell us immediately. We do NOT issue refunds for services rendered due to the nature of corrective transformations and natural/unavoidable variables that affect outcome. We will never sacrifice integrity of hair so multiple appointments may be necessary. In these cases, the stylist will opt for best possible outcome in each session.
